I was put on my first diet at 4 years old. I stopped dieting at age 49 and have lost the weight and kept it off for the second time in my life. I understand that food is not your issue but your answer. I am continuing my studies and upgrading my qualifications all the time so you know you are dealing with someone who has lived the journey for a long time and am qualified to help you.

I was about 4 when this photo was taken. The dress did not fit and at this photo shoot I was introduced to the words diet, shame, guilt and fear. After the specially purchased dress did not fit, I was put on my first diet, I was made to feel ashamed by my parents for failing them, guilt because it was my fault I put on the weight, and I felt what I came to understand was shame at what I had done. I was also made to feel fear, fear of what might happen if this continued. I carried this around with me for about 45 years!
In my middle 20's I had so many health issues and reached my heaviest weight 158 kilos. I had weight loss surgery and lost 85 kilos. I did not keep it off, slowly over 23 years I regained 60 kilos, through yoyo dieting I would lose it, then I would regain it.
When I was 49 I was once again looking at health issues forming. I decided that it was do or die time, I would find a way to lose this weight, keep it off or die trying.
I found my way and have kept the weight off for over three years. I have trained as a life coach and I am currently training to be a Registered Nutritional Advisor. I can assist you transform your way of eating to support your weight loss goals by finding your pathway. there are no quick fixes or short cuts, it is a journey that you will be in control of.
